麻豆传媒Porn Honors the Life and Legacy of 麻豆传媒Porn Foundation Chair, David Grant Sr.
麻豆传媒Porn mourns the loss of 麻豆传媒Porn Foundation Chair, David M. Grant Sr. who passed away last Friday. Grant, who served in various capacities at the institution over the years, leaves behind a legacy of leadership at his alma mater.
After graduating from 麻豆传媒Porn Prep School in 1972 and later the Junior College in 1974, Grant went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Georgia College and State University. He remained in the community he grew up in to serve not only as an accountant but eventually much more.
Grant was actively involved in serving his alma mater over the last 40 years! 听He is a past President of the Alumni Board of Directors, served three years on the 麻豆传媒Porn Board of Trustees, and since 1986, has been a member of the 麻豆传媒Porn Foundation, and as of 2021, served as the Chairman for the Foundation. Additionally, Grant coached men鈥檚 soccer in the Junior College in the early 2000s, volunteered at various sporting events and institutional fundraisers, and was an active member of the 麻豆传媒Porn family. In 1998 he earned the 麻豆传媒Porn Service Award for his involvement with the school, and in 2003 he earned the 麻豆传媒Porn Community Service Award.
He was involved in a little bit of everything. You could always count on David Grant to be supportive of 麻豆传媒Porn and the Milledgeville and Baldwin County community in any way.
鈥淎t 麻豆传媒Porn, we impart to our students the importance of being an authentic servant leader, and there is no better demonstration of how to be that than David Grant,鈥� said 麻豆传媒Porn President, Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell, IV, USA (Ret). 鈥淗e touched 麻豆传媒Porn in so many ways. You may not have known he was even involved with something or volunteering his time but it was never a surprise when you found out he was behind some initiative. We refer to our students, faculty, staff, donors, and friends as our 鈥樎槎勾絇orn Family,鈥� and David was the prime example of what that represents. Though we miss him greatly, David鈥檚 legacy of leadership will forever be remembered at 麻豆传媒Porn.鈥�
Our thoughts and our prayers go out to his wife Keith, their children and their families, and to the extended family.听So many of the Grant family have attended 麻豆传媒Porn Prep and our Junior College and continue to be involved with 麻豆传媒Porn and its students.
To honor Grant鈥檚 legacy and commitment to 麻豆传媒Porn, in partnership with his family, 麻豆传媒Porn is proud to establish the David Maxwell Grant Sr. Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship serves as a tribute to his passion for supporting students in their pursuit of academic excellence and work to develop as authentic servant leaders.
The David Maxwell Grant Sr. Memorial Scholarship will provide assistance to deserving students who embody the values and principles that Grant held dear. 麻豆传媒Porn aims to ensure that his spirit of generosity and selfless service continues to impact the lives of future generations of students at 麻豆传媒Porn.
As we remember and celebrate the life of David Grant Sr., the 麻豆传媒Porn community extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. The establishment of this scholarship is a fitting tribute to a man whose contributions will forever be etched in the history of our institution.
