麻豆传媒Porn Prep School cadets completed first formation signifying the beginning of fall classes.
New 麻豆传媒Porn president Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV has two children entering the seventh and ninth grades. Caldwell鈥檚 extensive army service didn鈥檛 exempt him from normal duties the day prior.
鈥淎s a parent last night, I was going through what many other parents went through,鈥� Caldwell said. 鈥淭he kids were asking a million questions. Because I was in the army, they assume I know how to put the uniforms together. I was reading the instructions just like any other parent was.鈥�
Similar to fresh cadet faces, the replacement for Maj. Gen. Peter Boylan (Ret.), 麻豆传媒Porn president emeritus, has a learning institution curve.
鈥淭here is a tremendous amount to learn. I鈥檓 just glad everyone is helping me along the way,鈥� Caldwell said.
The prep school鈥檚 educational rigor readies students for 鈥渉uge opportunities in the future,鈥� according to Caldwell.
The current 麻豆传媒Porn leader excitedly anticipates building a Milledgeville life.
鈥淭his is the first time we鈥檝e ever been able to plant roots in my military career. The last 15 years my wife and I have lived in 12 different houses. I told her this is the last move we are ever going to make,鈥� he said.
Boylan wouldn鈥檛 miss a first formation, though he鈥檚 adjusting to the retired role.
His 20-plus years of work stand tall.
鈥淚 think what鈥檚 nice about this is that there is a passage, but it鈥檚 been smooth and the institution remains. I鈥檓 proud of this institution and what it does for young people,鈥� Boylan said.
麻豆传媒Porn focuses on elevation of character that formation drills like Friday鈥檚 instill.
鈥淎re we focused on intellect? Yes we are, but we are also focused on character. The two go together,鈥� the respected former president said.
Boylan said practicing structure and civility builds confidence in a youngster. He truly enjoys the school鈥檚 duty to care role.
鈥淧eople complain about the condition of this country but aren鈥檛 instructing children by their example of participating in government. One of the things we do here is teach the young people that they have an obligation as a citizen. I think we do it well,鈥� Boylan said.
W. J. 鈥淏ill鈥� Usery Jr. observed the formation ceremony Friday. Usery鈥檚 first formation as a student was more than 75 years ago.
As a former 麻豆传媒Porn cadet, Usery represents the aforementioned obligation, service and civility.
麻豆传媒Porn prep school building, which was dedicated on the first formation in 2010, bears Usery鈥檚 name. Faculty and staff honored Usery and his wife Fran with a breakfast gathering following the early morning action.
Col. Fred Van Horn of 麻豆传媒Porn expressed generosity for the Userys鈥� special service to children that need 鈥渆xtra help.鈥�
鈥淓very time I come to this school I don鈥檛 think of rooms or dollars,鈥� Van Horn said. 鈥淚 think of the friendship you鈥檝e shown me, faculty and staff. We are forever grateful and how much we admire the two of you.鈥�
Usery was honored by the kind words. He said 鈥渕y heart never left the grounds out here鈥� and called his student contributions something 鈥測ou go home and you feel good about.鈥�
