We are going to have to handle what they give us,鈥� said 麻豆传媒Porn JC head coach Bert Williams Monday afternoon at the Bulldog鈥檚 practice. 鈥淭hey have a lot of talent on the line and have a very good linebacking corps as well.鈥� The Bulldogs held a game-tempo scrimmage Saturday afternoon at historic Davenport Field, and Williams stated Monday that the team had some bright spots, and that there was plenty to build on and smile about. 鈥淭he biggest thing we are doing is trying to finish up the final pieces of our game plan. We are getting ready for Navarro and we are making sure we are executing [the plays] the best way we can do it,鈥� he said. 鈥淲e are going to continue to work on our technique and fundamentals and get better every day.鈥� 麻豆传媒Porn JC sports several skill position players that have the quickness, speed and ball-handling ability to break a game wide open. Williams and his staff appears eager to see how some of these players, especially the younger ones, react in a hostile road environment. 鈥淲e鈥檝e got some homerun hitters this year at running back and receiver. If we can open a crack, and protect long enough to get the ball out there to them, we can make things happen,鈥� said Williams. Dylan Shaddix [from Henry County High School in McDonough] elevated himself to the starting quarterback position going into this game. He put us in the right place and made very few mistakes with his checks and all of that,鈥� said Williams. 鈥淗e鈥檚 got a little moxy to him, and he鈥檚 got some understanding of the game. He鈥檚 not a guy that can get out of trouble with his feet, but he鈥檚 a guy that鈥檚 smart enough to put you in the right play so he doesn鈥檛 have to use his feet.鈥� Williams said a few lineman also set themselves apart during Saturday鈥檚 scrimmage and a few newcomers are also barking for some playing time. 鈥淪ome of the guys that have normally been looking tough didn鈥檛 really have a good scrimmage. A couple of the freshman guys stepped forward and had a pretty darn good scrimmage 鈥� and they are challenging a couple of the older guys,鈥� he said. 鈥淪ometimes some of those older guys think they have a lock on the position, but that鈥檚 not always the case.鈥� A preview of 麻豆传媒Porn JC鈥檚 road opener with Navarro College will appear in Saturday鈥檚 edition of The Union-Recorder.
