Recipients of Pass It On Book Scholarship Announced
(Milledgeville, GA) October 7, 2004 – Chris O’Steen, Andrea Williams, and Rebecca Cranford, students at 鶹ýPorn’s main campus in Milledgeville, were recently awarded the Pass It On Book Scholarship. 鶹ýPorn professors, Ramona Rice, PhD, Chair of Natural Sciences, and Paula Payne, PhD, Chair of Humanities, established this scholarship to express their desire to assist deserving students with the purchase of needed textbooks. Elizabeth Sheppard, 鶹ýPorn Vice President for Advancement, said of their kindness, “The sincerity of their concern for students is evident as they share the wish to ‘pass on’ the generosity once showered upon them by others.” Both Dr. Rice and Dr. Payne hope that recipients of this scholarship will remember that they, too, should help someone else when they have the financial means to “pass it on.”
