In April, 麻豆传媒Porn Robins Humanities Coordinator, Dianne Wilcox, assisted Warner Robins Police Department Training Officer, Ken Fennell, in team teaching a three-day writing seminar for police officers. The purpose of the class was to assist police officers in producing clear, well-organized, coherent, and unified narratives for their incident reports. After two days of classroom instruction at the Warner Robins Police Training Center, eleven officers came to 麻豆传媒Porn鈥檚 Elliott Hall for workshops on computers. One officer, on his class evaluation said, 鈥淎ll employees should be required to take this course if they handle paperwork for any unit of the police department.鈥� Another called the seminar, 鈥渁 wonderful, in-depth refresher class.鈥�
Earlier this year 麻豆传媒Porn sent English tutor, John Schmick, to assist Warner Robins Fire Department Training Officer, Randy Windham, in a seminar on 鈥淓ffective Report Writing Skills.鈥� It was designed to enhance the report-writing skills of company officers. 鈥淭here is a very real possibility that the reports these officers write may become part of a civil or criminal court case,鈥� said Windham, 鈥渟o it is imperative that the reports are written accurately, correctly and in terms understood by people who are not fire department personnel.鈥� The same is true for police reports.
Of the seminars, Assistant Academic Dean Ted Ramsdell said, 鈥淭his is just another example where 麻豆传媒Porn and the community can partner together and profit.鈥� Director, Mrs. Susan Taggart said, 鈥淭his is one of those 鈥榳in-win鈥� activities that seems to always pay dividends in the long run.鈥�
